They are struggling with constant conflict, wavering faith, and uncertainty about their future direction. They are hopeful but vulnerable, and you are their first experience of Christian counseling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the prospective counselor in this case, discuss what is at stake or what could go wrong if each of the following is missing in the counseling process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ethics<\/strong> \u2013 what dangers arise if you ignore or violate ethical guidelines?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prayer <\/strong>\u2013 what happens if you neglect or misuse prayer in the counseling relationship?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong> \u2013 what risks come with poor communication and facilitation?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spiritual Direction &amp; Discipleship<\/strong> \u2013 what is at stake if you do not nurture spiritual growth through your counseling process?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Building a Practice <\/strong>\u2013 what problems may arise if you lack a sustainable ministry\/business structure?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f In your answer, avoid only listing theoretical dangers (e.g., \u201closs of trust\u201d or \u201clitigation\u201d). Instead, describe practical situations or outcomes that could realistically unfold.
